Best places to see the wildflowers in the Bay Area and NoCal

It's that time! Wildflowers are a'blooming! What a great excuse to grab a Gig and go for a drive.

If you find yourself longing for some natural beauty, here are a few destinations in the Bay Area and throughout Northern California that are worth a visit. Be sure to research each area's hours and restrictions before visiting. Don't forget your camera! 📸

Pinnacles National Park
80 miles south of San Jose, wildflower season at Pinnacles starts in March. In April, you should find milkmaids, shooting stars, Indian warriors, California poppies, and more.

Mount Diablo State Park 
From the variety of hiking trails here you’ll see a variety of wildflowers such as blue skullcap, bush lupine, monkey flowers, globe lilies, California poppies, wallflowers, and more.

Lake Tahoe 
Take a wildflower hike at Lake Tahoe. Once the snow has melted, prepare to see Mariposa lilies, blue lupine, bright-red snow plant, orange paintbrush, and more.
