Good news! Gig Members are now able to begin and end trips in the San Francisco Bay Area city of Emeryville. 

In a little more than one square mile, Emeryville offers a myriad of shopping and dining destinations, and this addition to the HomeZone means more convenient traveling and parking for visitors and residents alike. 

Here you will find Bay Street Emeryville, a large mixed-use development that includes 65 retail stores, ten restaurants, and an AMC movie theater. Learn more about Bay Street here. 

The Public Market has on-site dining and take-out opportunities (along with shops and services such as a barbershop, Guitar Center, and Urban Outfitters.) From burgers to ramen, a visit here will surely satisfy any cravings. Learn more about The Public Market here. 

McLaughlin Eastshore State Park provides 8.5 miles of parkland along the SF Bay, from the Bay Bridge to Richmond. It was renamed in 2012 in honor of Save The Bay co-founder Sylvia McLaughlin. Visit the site to learn more about the trails and directions to the park. 

And, of course, we couldn’t pass up mentioning one of the most well-known cultural landmarks in Emeryville — Pixar Animation Studios. (Fun fact: Local favorite Arizmendi Bakery is featured in the Pixar film Inside Out.)

There are thousands of parking spots available for Gigs in Emeryville. The red zones on the map in the app indicate areas in which you can not end a trip, but you can make a stopover. Just be sure to feed the meters in the red zones. Make sure to check the app for a detailed view.
