It’s Official! Gig Is Now In Seattle

As Washington’s economy begins to reopen, GIG Car Share is introducing 250 cars in Seattle. Gig’s car-share model gives Seattle residents the flexibility to pick up and drop off in different locations, making it easy to find a nearby car, get in and go with no application or sign-up fees, and initial pricing of 40 cents per minute, $15 per hour, $55 for eight hours and $85 per day. Plus, for a limited time, Gig is waiving the $1 access fee on all trips and the $5 airport parking fee as an added bonus for early adopters.

Gig provides its members with access to private vehicles without the financial stress and responsibility of upkeep. Members pay as they go, making Gig more affordable than a traditional car rental. Gas, insurance, parking in the HomeZone, roadside assistance and 24/7 support are built into Gig’s all-inclusive pricing. AAA members save an additional 10% on every Gig trip.

To serve the Seattle community and support organizations that make it a better place, GIG Car Share recently launched Gig4Good. Through the program, community partners receive free driving credits to mobilize their community efforts, such as food delivery and distribution. Cars are donated one week at a time and are deep-cleaned before and after each use.

In Seattle, Gig4Good will provide nearly $200,000 in driving value - which equates to 13,000 driving hours -  to nonprofit partners in June. Lifelong, an organization that stands up for communities facing discrimination and marginalization, and Open Arms Perinatal Services, which provides community-based support during pregnancy, birth, and early parenting, are the first Gig4Good community partners in Seattle.

Gig will also offer an airport parking zone at SeaTac, in partnership with Wallypark. This provides a convenient, affordable, door-to-door option for air travel. Gigs can be parked in designated parking stalls on the rooftop lot at Wallypark, 18613 International Blvd, SeaTac, Washington, 98188.
